I'll leave you with a bulleted list of things that are bringing me happiness because, well, why not?
- That picture above is Rich's banner from over at fourfour, and that picture, featured prominently in the trailer for Volver, is a big part of the reason I saw the film. No lie. Boobs and knives put asses in the seats, y'all. Apparently even gay asses. Well, at least this gay ass. Loved that film. Seriously, even if you don't like boobs or knives, you owe it to yourself to check it out. Almodovar loves women, and you will fall in love with the women in this movie.
- Thanks to freakgirl (and honestly, I really can't thank her enough, for like everything), I've been revisiting something almost tragically beloved from my childhood-- Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp. He's a chimpanzee AND a spy, people. Never mind that he has a freakin' band, too! Lancelot Link and the Evolution Revolution OWNS my ass.
- It smells like rain.
- If you're thinking about seeing The Lookout, ponder no more, my treasures. It's fab. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is phenomenal (Who knew? You did? Why didn't you say?), and this movie is the best thing I've seen in English for a while. Weeks at least. Thanks me later, bitches. Jeff Daniels? Also real good.
- Imogen Heap- Speak For Yourself. I couldn't agree more, baby.
- This time Thursday, I'll be standing on a mountain strapped to two slippery boards.

Yay, a new post from Michael!
Comments on your bullet points:
- Volver is at the top of my list to see next. Looks so good, and with you raving about it, how could I not see it?
- The Lookout - that's on my list too, if it ever gets to dvd. Along with Joseph Gordon-Levitt's other movies Brick and Mysterious Skin, which both look great.
- Have fun and be careful skiing!
Thanks for yaying me, doll.
I haven't seen Mysterious Skin, if you can believe that, but I will now.
And Volver, well, it just makes you wanna love your mom and your sister and your grandma even more. Also, there's murder and ghosts and stuff.
The trailer for Waitress really was that good. I cannot wait to see it.
You know it was written and directed by Adrienne Shelly, who was recently and horribly murdered in NYC? It's going to be tough to enjoy it, knowing that she never got the chance to see it open.

It's hard to sound upbeat after a post about a murder, but, have a great trip! :D
Ooops! Sorry to bring the party down. Yes, have a great trip!
"This time Thursday, I'll be standing on a mountain strapped to two slippery broads." - that's much funnier, and sort of appropriate given the Volver references, non?
Ditto on JGL in "Mysterious Skin", you have to see it.
Oh ya, I forgot. Waitress really looked good...and I miss Felicity. :) I think my excitement about it is both for me. I'm adding that to the millions of films I want to see this summer. So much opening at once.
It's a real shame about Adrienne Shelly. When I watched the Waitress preview, I was thinking how adorably odd and different the movie was, and it's horrible that we will never see more from her. At least she had this to leave behind.
P.P.S. - I missed your Imogen Heap bullet point. Love her song Speeding Cars. Interesting voice, no?
Imogen Heap is a regular on Go Fug Yourself - that woman has, shall we say, Bjork-like taste.
PS: Nathan Fillion has a GREAT ASS. Just sayin'.
Vancouver and Whistler!
I am mad-jealous!!
Yeah, I love Lancelot Link Secret Chimp too you cheeky monkey you
