If we live our lives the right way, then everything we do can become a work of art.

You'd be so nice to come home to
My boyfriend, John Barrowman, has lent his comely visage to an ad campaign, which will see hundreds of billboards across the UK plastered with messages against homophobia. With this series, Stonewall UK is specifically targeting the bullying and violence against gay teens. (via)
I love that! That should be plastered everywhere - so direct and perfect.
Speaking of John - I watched the new Torchwood over the weekend, starting to get addicting, even though the plots are sometimes a bit complicated. Watched it with my dad - probably not the best thing to do, but he was visiting, and of course there was a lovely boy/boy make out in this episode. I was like "Wooo!" Awkward. Did you get started on Season 1 yet?
You know, sometimes it helps to read the words, not just look at the pretty...
I wondered why, if that was the poster, the photo was so incredibly crap and had him standing in a car park somewhere with a tree growing out of his head... the text and the photo are two completely different things.
The poster is the left hand side, no photo, no nothing... the photo, I assume, comes from the fact that he launched the campaign.
Says so right on the Stonewall website and everything... :P
Make sure you catch him on Never Mind the Buzzoccks (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZRLbP4EAsQ), and his "gay off" with Simon Amstell. Watch the whole episode.
Really, you've never seen it? You can watch pretty much all 21 seasons on toutube. Lots of the music references I don't get (they're soooo english) but it's a very amusing show. And Phil Jupitus, one of the captains, is the guy who described GoGol Bordello as "if the Clash had a fight with the Pogues in eastern Europe." That's a description of a band!
I'm a simple guy. I like y'all, but don't tell me you're a "people person", OK?
Also, if you tell me you are "straight-acting", I'll still be polite (Grandma Betsy lives on in me), but we'll be through. I read. I can love you if you don't read much, but if you read really bad shit, then I may not be able to love you. I'm liberal. Way. Who doesn't enjoy a nice trip (or a nice piece of fish)? I've traveled some, and I'll arrange my life so that I always can. Old people, babies (in their case, I think it's because my head/body ratio is similar), and your mother dig me (probably more than you do), and I'm OK with that. Know that if I am into you, I'll be amenable to just about anything. He'll be a lucky man who I aim to please. I'm aiming just thinking about you.

Your boyfriend there is awfully cute.
Oh, and don't know if you noticed but it seems like he's gay.
Get over it? Oh honey, I'd get over it, behind it, under it, on it...
Don't we all wish John as our BF?!

When I first saw this, I wasn't sure about the picture.
But now that he's singing to me, I'm liking it more.

Chips, I've never seen that show! I have a big ol' crush on Simon Amstell now.
