Why do all of my dreams extend just around the riverbend?

How long have I been whinging about getting the fuck out of here? Yeah, as long as I've had this blog. Fuck. I got asked out twice this week and it's only Tuesday. By women. What am I still doing here? Why so fearful, bitch? Or is it complacency? Sloth? Gah! You're really tired of reading about this by now, aren't you? Time's wasting, Poca. Dream Giver ain't gonna wait forever. What? Doesn't everyone refer to themselves as Disney heroines in their head?

I know. I think maybe I need to make a list where I can check things off. Less daunting that way maybe. It's amazing how I can distract myself with books and movies and plays and concerts and buying things and running...and then I have a few days like this week where I realize it's ain't nothin' alone. And I don't even mean that I have to find SOMEONE, but I have to be with my tribe. You know?

If I don't watch out, I'm gonna be Uncle Saul from Brothers and Sisters.

Not Uncle Saul! He's worst case scenario.

Come to Jersey! Plainfield! Gorgeous Victorian homes and our ex-governor!

Where is this "A Whole New World"?

A list? If you're anything like me, you'll make the list the new distraction. You've already taken the first step by ditching the casa... so what's next?

FG, Plainfield, City of Queens! Sounds great, and only 25 miles from NYC. I wonder if there's a little Craftsman bungalow just waiting for me there?

TOA, how is it that I can train for a marathon, but find it so hard to take the next step? This is real life. And I know what you mean about Saul, but we don't keep coming back to Brothers and Sisters for the continuity, do we? We come back for some Kevin and Scotty! And in spite of the Justin/Rebecca "are we sibling, lovers or both?" storyline.

Jason, exactly! You get me. That is the Disney Princess question. I've been leaning toward Chicago, but lately I'm wondering why I wouldn't go West, where I could run and ski and climb and play more readily.

Sam, see above. I need to PICK A PLACE already. LIST as distraction? You win.

Meanwhile, I'm a PRO (2,035) in Wii Tennis.

michael, the City of Queens is also only ten miles from MOI!

And there are tons of adorable little bungalows on giant, tree-lined streets, just waiting for you.

Sweetie, come to San Francisco, you know you want to. You can get a darling studio condo made form cardboard and the highest quality spit for around a million dollars. Maybe a million plus change. But it's so pretty.

Hail yes -- NJ! (I live in an awesomely liberal little town 6 miles from upper Manhattan. Just saying.)
