You give me the sweetest taboo

It's a new day and things are looking up. Thanks to all y'all for the helping hand yesterday. Oh crap, am I one of those people who would have a crying meltdown on The Amazing Race? I'd need coddling and support and then I'd rediscover the resolve to continue to the pot of gold. Of course by "pot of gold" I mean Phil Keoghan. Anyway, thanks again for helping me make it through the rain (Ahhh, he's another pot of gold, that Barry Manilow....a Yidmo). I'm off this afternoon and I've got a concrete checklist of things I can do TODAY to change my life. No day but today. Yep, things are looking up. Hell, even that raging 'rrhoid that's been plaguing me is better today.

Glad you're feeling better, sweets. I woulda said something wise (or at least wise-ass-y) yesterday but Blogger was giving me the finger -- and not in the good way. That's probably for the best. The encouraging and supportive comment, never fully formed in my mind, was strongly considering referencing you as "grasshopper" in the Kung Fu sense, and then making an attempt at entertaining you by abusing the term in a number of sordid, gayified ways, of which "asshopper" was only the beginning.

Am I younger? Can't be by much. And really, I'm ageless.

On the serious side, I might be able to help you out with perspective on some of this stuff. The combination of being out since age 16 as well as being a total theory head means I know a lot about resistance, identity, power relations, and their interstices. Again, you know, lesbian feminists with our personal-political shit. It's actually useful on occasion, like when it comes to making peace with who you are in a world that's always trying to make you into someone else.

Well, by the looks of that picture things are definately starting to look up. *Huh*. A rising black member betwixt two muscled thighs, against a background of blue.

I know. I know. Paging Dr Fraud. Paging Dr Fraud ...

Bodhi, I totally missed that and yet I DID choose the picture, so I guess there's probably something to be analyzed there for both of us.
PS I love "betwixt", too.
PPS A rising member does fit with the title lyrics. Reminds me of another Sade lyric, too: You gotta hold on longer for my love to grow

I'm starting to think that she's a bit dirty, that Sade.

Holla Jen, we came out about the same age! I was 15 when I told all my school friends. Keep using words like "interstices", top class vocab gives me goosebumps.

Everytime you go all vocabwhore TOA, it reminds me of the movie Threesome. I keep seeing you in the role of Alex (played by Lara Flynn Boyle) when she was getting off and writhing around on a library table as Eddy (Josh Charles) read to her. All those BIG words. Later, she was also read to by Stuart (Stephen Baldwin)

Eww. Eewwwwwww.
Get the image outta my head.
Get the image outta my head!.

Must think of Stuart
Must think of Stuart
Must think of Stuart

That's why I like her.

Hollaback, hobbitstud! I was thinking it at 15, but didn't do it or use any college words to talk about it 'til 16. :)

Hell Bodhi, even I'd rather think of Stuart. Don't much care for LFB...but since you brought it up, I would do just about anything for a woman who got hot over the same nerdy stuff I like. I think it's adorable that TOA's such a Grammar Fag.

Michael said...

Who DOES think LFB is hot? She makes me think of those things hanging in the Blair Witch trees.

Sade, on the other hand, is also a bit on the skinny side, but I'd fuck her. I listened to her all afternoon. She's so soothing and warm and yet somehow reserved and distant. Bet she's a screamer.

PS. A commune? Cool! Count me in! Commune-ard me baby;
Oh baby, my heart is full of love and desire for you
So come on down and do what youve got to do
You started this fire down in my soul
Now cant you see its burning, out of control
So come down and satisfy the need in me
Cos only your good loving can set me free

Yes, yes, yes, a commune, Homes!

All ist klar, der Commune's Ours.
