In a world full of people only some want to fly

Nathaniel: You hang on to your pain like it means something. Like it's worth something. Well, let me tell ya, it's not worth shit. Let it go. Infinite possibilities and all he can do is whine.
David: Well, what am I supposed to do?
Nathaniel: What do you think? You can do anything ya lucky bastard, you're alive! What's a little pain compared to that?
David: It can't be so simple.
Nathaniel: What if it is?

I just finished the fourth season of Six Feet Under. Not the best season, but still, there's some really good shit in there.

If you go back to my posts about SFFU on Too Much Free Time, for that episode, I quoted the following: "You hang on to your pain like it means something. Like it's worth something. Well, let me tell ya, it's not worth shit."

Glad we're on the same wavelength. For a weak season, an incredibly powerful scene.

Same wavelength, yeah. Some days I feel like we're a haircut and a few genitals from being the same person.

I had reservations about this season from the carjacking on. SFU has always been kind of hyper-reality, but that was over the top for me. This was a fitting ending, though, more in keeping with the tone of the show we've known.

Now I can't wait for the end. I might have to get HBO. Do they have Season 5 on Demand?

P.S. I forgot about going back and reading all the SFU posts I had to avoid on Too Much Free Time (www.toomuchfreetime.net). YAY!

I was real down on the show after the carjacking. The next season pulled itself together...it should be OnDemand right now, actually.

if I remember correctly the 4th season ends quit poetically. enjoy. so sad six feet under is no more.

Yeah, that was from the last episode, xtine. A beautiful ending to the mediocre (by their standards)season. Now I can't wait for Season 5.

You know that feeling when someone aggravates you way more than they really should? Then you have a moment of clarity, realizing what's aggravating is that you are seeing yourself.
