Here at Pipedreams, it's not only about beefcake and bon mots, people. We're here to serve as well, and in light of that we offer this link to a number of simple, informative online tests that assess your health. They are very easy, kinda fun, and may help you get a handle on your current physical and mental state. Mine were mostly good. Mostly. Damned if that niggling mood disorder didn't wreak havoc with my G.P.A. once again. Devil! Anyway, have at it.
As part of my ongoing quest to optimize my fitness, it's HAIRCUT DAY today. What? A day at the spa is as good as therapy. Oh, and I'll finally be getting that pedicure I tried to schedule last month. I get off on denial, so it'll be that much better for the wait.
Added: I thought I'd pass along a little update from my Salon Day. My first pedicure? Divine. Or, to borrow a word from my new taste and style sensei: divoon! And I know it's already the weekend Down Under and the Aussies have left the building, but Bodhi, the nail specialist was the most delightful 21 y.o. man/boy with highlights, jewelry and tattoos in the most pleasing combination. Think Justin's violin playing sweetie from Season 2.

As an MD, I snooped about, took some tests, and found this link pretty accurate and useful.
I dismissed as a technicial matter their conclustion I am at high risk for pregnancy.
ur-spo, interesting to get your perspective, then. I'm in a health field as well, and it seemed like they hit most of the risk factors for heart dss, etc. Also, it made me all warm inside when my BMI was so good. ;-) The depression one, though unsurprising, was fairly accurate, too.
Wow, q-60's, why so stressed? I scored almost no points on that one. Can I help? Rub you? RE: salon day....I don't have all that much hair to cut, but Alan treats me like I deserve. The scalp massage with aromatic oils (I find if I close my eyes and sigh during this, he'll do it longer) and of course, the playful double entendre-laced banter. He knows what I like.
Left the building, huh? You know we're always here, tinkering through the night. Watching you sleep. Almost caressing your cheek, but stopping close, oh so close, lest we wake you from slumber.
Dream on yankees.

That would be Ethan, sweetie. Your nail specialist looked like Ethan!?!?

Divoon :::swoon:::
Q'60's ... I'll have you know there was more than enough hair, thank ya very much. Dominic and Angelo had indeed missed me. They cleared their calender and had me booked back in for my regular weekly quicker than you can say "highlighs". My do looks uber-fab. No sign of another regular there though, my boy "Justin". Maybe next week ...
Apparently I need to 'remove pills and alcohol from the home' re: the depression test results. Now what kinda asshole advice is that to give to someone in my condition!?

Your nails.. your hair... whoa, you must be well buffed by now :) Pictures!

hmmmmmm, Glittery Rabbit ...
You know a blog is good when the comments are as entertaining as the entries themselves.
As far as the test are concerned, I took the stress test. Apparently, I'm about to have a heart attack at any moment.
At least I wont be surprised.
Earl, hee! As entertaining? More. These people are what makes it worthwhile. I'm certainly only intermittently passably interesting.
At least I wont be surprised.
Ha! Mine said that I should seek immediate professional help for clinical depression.
